Hi everyone,

- Next Meeting – August 26 – Ahearn Center (Gym) – 7:00-9:00
Last Monday the Troop worked together under the leadership of Chris Z to paint the raised beds for St. Benedict Village. They came out looking great.

This coming Monday we will be working on individual rank advancement and talking about upcoming activities.

Class B uniforms with a twist. It’s going to be crazy hat night! Wear the craziest hat you can find.

Hello Troop 965,
This Sunday, St. Benedict Village (6930 W. Touhy Ave) would like to host Mass and a blessing of the recently built gardens for the entire Troop. It would mean a lot to the staff and residents of St. Benedict Village if a good group of Scouts were able to show up. All Scouts, leaders, and parents are welcome to come.

If you choose to come, please wear your Class A uniform and we’ll meet outside the chapel just past the front doors at 10:15. Mass will start at 10:30. Refreshments will be provided after the blessing ceremony.

As a side note, thank you all for your very generous time and support for this project. Without you all, this project wouldn’t have gone as well as it did.

The Des Plaines Self Help Closet and Pantry is in short supply of many items. They are experiencing an accelerated rate of demand from the surrounding area due to inflation and today's harsh economy. The pantry has a list of needed short supply items and a complete list of all items they will accept as donations. You can access the lists at Des Plaines Self Help Pantry. They are grateful for all donations anyone can provide.
