- St. Juliana Christmas Creche Set-Up – Saturday, November 28 – 9:00 am
We need a crew to come out for one hour this coming Saturday morning to assist with setting up the parish Christmas creche in front of the church. We will meet at 9:00 sharp and be done by 10:00. Please remember to bring your face mask!

- Registration for 2021 is Here! Please Submit Your Dues Payment
Dear Scout families,

The Troop Committee met recently and discussed dues for the coming year. We agreed upon a rate of $100.00 per Scout and $60.00 for Leaders.

The vast majority of this fee is being sent to Council and National. The Troop is retaining a small amount for continuing operations. Of this $100 fee, $90 is being sent to Council and National, $10 is being retained by the Troop.

We believe the increase from National and Council is due to making Scoutbook accessible to all Scouts and parents and increased insurance costs.

Fees can be dropped off at my home, or mailed to:

Pete Stolarski
6949 North Osceola Ave.
Chicago, IL 60631

You can also bring your payment to the Creche set-up on Saturday.

Please turn in your fee for the Scouts by December 7th, 2020.

Please make your check payable to Troop 965 and turn in your payment before the deadline.

We have to re-register the Troop before the end of the year.

If finances are an issue, please reach out to me. We can always work something out and strict confidentiality will be maintained. We do not want any Scout to leave the Troop because of financial issues.

Thank you.

We will be working with the Webelos to help them earn the Arrow of Light award. If you are interested in helping please let me know soon. We are required to keep the group small because of the pandemic, so let me know soon.

- Appreciation from the Forest Preserves
Mr. Gulliford received a note of thanks from the Forest Preserves that we want to pass along:

Wayne,

Thank you for your Boy Scouts volunteer leadership with litter pick-up in the Forest Preserves of Cook County!

I see on your FPCC volunteer profile that you reported 32.5 total hours on 10/24...wonderful.

Your efforts are appreciated.

Thanks again!

- Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone has a safe and restful Thanksgiving. It has been a strange year for everyone - including the Troop - but we are sticking together and finding ways to keep moving forward. We have the Creche set-up coming up and we hope to offer a hike in December. Stay tuned.

Take a few minutes this weekend to think about all of the things in your life for which you are grateful. In spite of the challenges we are facing these days, there is still much to thank God for – family, education, health, employment, food, shelter and so much more.

One of the many things I am thankful for this year is my association with all of you – Scouts, parents, and Leaders. Stay safe and have a good Thanksgiving holiday!
