Hi everyone,
- Next Troop Meeting – Monday, December 4 – School Hall
- Edison Park Turkey Trot Set-Up – Thank You
Thank you to everyone who came out to assist with the set-up at the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. We had a good representation of Troop members and adults.
- Creche Repairs – Thank You
Another big crew of 20 Scouts and adults helped us set-up, improve, and stain the parish Christmas creche. It is ready to go for the first Sunday of Advent this coming weekend. We will be gradually bringing out the people and animal figures until all are in place in time for Christmas. Thanks to Pete Stolarski for coordinating the project.
- Hike and Bowl – Saturday, December 9 – 8:00 am - Noon
I hope many Scouts and parents can join us for a morning of hiking and bowling. We will meet at the St. Juliana Offices to start our hike at 8:00 am. The plan is to hike east along Touhy Avenue to the North Branch Trail just east of Milwaukee Avenue and then head north on the trail to Classic Bowl on Waukegan Road in Morton Grove. We should wrap up the bowling and return to St. Juliana by noon. Parents are welcome to join us for the hike and bowling.
The cost of the outing is $15.00 per bowler – Scout or parent or leader. Shoe rental is included in the fee. There is no charge for the hike portion of the outing. The permission slip can be found in the Resource Center and is due with payment at the December 4 Troop meeting.
Specific instructions and what to bring for hiking will be shared at the December 4 Troop meeting and in next week’s newsletter.
- 2024 Registration and Dues
Members of the Troop who pay annual dues should have received a separate email with information about dues for 2024. If you didn’t receive the email, please let me know right away and I will send it to you again.
- Living Nativity – Thursday, December 21 – 5:30 pm – School Parking Lot
Please hold the date for the Living Nativity at St. Juliana. The Troop will be setting up and dismantling the set for a reenactment of the Nativity – complete with live animals! More details to come.
See you Monday!
Mr. Pelrine
