Hi everyone,
Thank you to everyone who came out for the Court of Honor and Parent Meeting! Your interest in the Troop and your support of your Scout(s) is very important.
As Leaders, we found it very helpful to talk to you directly about the spring and summer activities the Troop has planned. Please feel free to follow up with us on any lingering questions you have.
- Scouting for Food – Saturday #2 - April 22 – 9:00-10:30 AM
We will be retracing our steps from last weekend to pick up food that people have left on their porch for donation. The food we collect will be stored at St. Juliana and then transferred to the Parish Food Drive. From there it will be donated to Catholic Charities.
The time commitment is minimal and only involves about an hour or so. Please wear your uniform shirt this Saturday. We could really use all-hands-on-deck for this! It’s only an hour or so and it is a great help to our neighbors in need.
- Next Meeting – Monday, April 24 – Ahearn Center (GYM) 7:00-9:00 PM
This coming Monday, April 24, will be a very busy meeting:
Class B uniforms for the 24th! Woo hoo!
See you on Saturday at Scouting for Food!

This coming Monday, April 24, will be a very busy meeting:
- BACKPACKING WEEKEND - We will be preparing for the Ice Age Trail weekend by reviewing what gear to bring, gathering crew gear, and confirming our travel plans. The permission slip (in the Resource Center) and payment for the Ice Age Trail are due at the April 24 Troop meeting. We have a small window between Monday night and Friday to purchase food, coordinate cooking gear, and confirm drivers, so NO late sign-ups will be taken. A personal packing list for backpacking can be found in the Resource section of the Troop website.
- SUMMER CAMP at OWASIPPE – We will meet with the Scouts planning to go to summer camp in July. I sent information to you a few days ago (available here: Summer Camp) that should help them pick what they want to sign up for at camp. Online registration for summer camp opens on Saturday, April 29, so they need to decide on their plans before Monday night. A summer camp deposit of $200 is due to the Troop at the May 1 meeting.
