Hi everyone,
- Next Meeting – Monday, April 17 – Court of Honor/Parent Meeting – School Hall
Scouts and Leaders – 7:00pm
Parents and Families – 7:30pm
Please join us for the Spring Court of Honor and Parent Meeting. We will be honoring the advancement and merit badge work done by the Scouts over the last few months. We will also have detailed information about our summer adventures – Warren Dunes, Mammoth Cave, summer camp at Owasippe, and the Manistee River canoe trip.
Scouts should be in Class A uniforms and school pants.
A brief reception will follow. Scouts: Remember to bring soft drinks for our guests!
- Easter Vigil Fire – THANK YOU!
Thanks to the Scouts and Leaders who came out to help with the Easter Vigil Fire last weekend. It was an impressive fire!
- Scouting for Food – First Saturday, April 15 – 9:00-10:00 AM
The annual Boy Scout Food Drive starts this coming Saturday when we will be placing door tags around the neighborhood to alert people that we will be collecting food on the morning of Saturday, April 22. The time commitment is minimal and only involves about an hour.
We could really use all-hands-on-deck for this! It’s only an hour and it is a great help to our neighbors in need.
- April 28-30 - Backpacking Weekend – Ice Age Trail, Wisconsin
We will be backpacking on the Ice Age Trail for a total of 11 miles over two days and sleeping in trail shelters at night. We will meet at the Parish Center at 5:00 on Friday to pack up gear and get on the road. We will return to the Parish Center in the early afternoon on Sunday. The cost for the trip is $45.00 per person. The permission slip and money are due at the April 24 Troop meeting.
- Backpack Available to Borrow
A St. Juliana parishioner has donated a backpack to the Troop. If one of you needs a backpack, please let me know. Also, the Ramirez family has given the Troop a backpack that we can lend out to Scouts for camping and hiking trips.
See you at the Easter Vigil!
