Hi everyone,
- Next Meeting – Monday, April 8 - 7:00-9:00 pm - School Hall - Parents and Scouts!
This is a very important meeting for our Troop – Scouts, parents, and Leaders.
We will have a Cyber Bullying presentation by Detective Elisabeth Hill of the Chicago Police Department. Every Scout and at least one parent should be present for this meeting. Detective Hill has a very compelling presentation about the dangers of cyber bullying. We have had cyber bullying within the Troop – within this band of brothers! That is unacceptable in Scouting! The leadership of the Troop is committed to eliminating all forms of bullying and to educating our Scouts about how to avoid this type of behavior or becoming a victim of it.
Following the cyber bullying presentation there will be an important session on summer camp. By the night of that meeting the Scouts should have decided what merit badges and activities they want to do at camp. Leaders will be signing up Scouts as soon as the registration website goes live next Saturday, April 13.
Lastly, we will distribute the Troop 965 Cell Phone/Electronic Devices Policy. The policy will take effect with the April 15 Troop meeting.
Class A uniforms for all Scouts and Leaders!
- St. Vincent DePaul Food Drive – Sunday, April 14 – Church – Volunteers Needed
The St. Vincent DePaul Food Drive will be held at St. Juliana next weekend during all the Masses. The St. Vincent DePaul Society is asking for assistance from Troop 965 with the loading of the truck that will take the donations to Catholic Charities. Scouts and Leaders are invited to arrive at Church at 11:15 am and assist with loading until about 12:30 pm.
- Easter Vigil Thank You
