We will be doing training on alcohol and drug resistance and reviewing our summer outings.

- Aiden Rice - Eagle Scout
Congratulations to Aiden Rice - our newest Eagle Scout! Aiden passed his Eagle Board of Review a couple of weeks ago. Great job Aiden! We are very proud of you and your accomplishments in Scouting.
- Fall Planning
We will be working on the fall schedule. We need to hear from you about where you want to camp and/or hike this fall.
- Des Plaines River Canoe Outing – Saturday, August 13
We have a day of canoeing on the Des Plaines River in Lake County on August 13. We will meet at St. Juliana at 8:00 AM and then head up to the canoe launch at Independence Grove Forest Preserve. From there we will paddle about 7.5 miles down the Des Plaines to our take-out at the Route 60 bridge in Libertyville. This is a nice float with plenty of opportunities to get wet in the river and cool off. We should be back at St. Juliana by 3:00 PM.
We need a solid RSVP for this outing by Monday, August 8 to make sure we have enough canoes, paddles, and PFDs.
There is no charge for this trip and the permission slip - which is due on August 8 - can be found in the Resource Center.
