Hi everyone,
- Next Meeting – Monday, May 22 – Ahearn Center (Gym) – 7:00-9:00 PM
We will be making sack lunches for Uncle Pete’s Ministry as part of our meeting. We may also be doing a service project for St. Juliana. A Scout is Helpful!
Class B uniforms for everybody! Awesome!
- Coast Guard Visit Wrap-Up
We had over 30 people for the Coast Guard Station visit in Michigan City last Saturday. It was a great experience! Troop alum and Eagle Scout Tony Hanusiak was our host. He is the executive officer (#2 officer) of the station. The Coast Guard crew made us feel very welcome and gave us tours of the station, including a chance to check out their boats in the Michigan City harbor. Part of the outing included having lunch at the station. Thanks to Wayne Gulliford for coordinating a great Italian sausage and hot dog lunch. It was a good outing!
- Owasippe Payments
Thanks to everyone for getting their Owasippe payments in on time last week. We avoided the late fee and saved hundreds of dollars. I realize that we have hit our families with a lot of fees for various trips and adventures in the last few weeks. I will try to be more mindful of the timing of our requests for deposits and final payments in the future.
- New Troop T-Shirt
The latest Troop T-shirt has been ordered and will be here in time for the Parish Picnic. The cost of the shirt is $8.00. We would like every Scout and Leader to have one, so if cost is an issue, please have a confidential conversation with Pete Stolarski. We can help anyone who is cash strapped.
- Parish Picnic – June 4
The Troop will be supporting the Parish Picnic by staffing a first aid station that day. We will be giving out mini first aid kits to promote the Troop. We need Scouts and Leaders to sign up for times to staff the first aid station.
- No Meeting on Memorial Day – May 29
Have a great weekend with family and friends! Please take a minute to remember the people who gave their lives to keep us free.
