- Next Troop Meeting – Monday, October 9 – Ahearn Center (Gym)
Mr. Mandelin has set up an AED (automated external defibrillator) demonstration for us. Our parish nurse, Ms. Cindy Brennan, will be coming in to show how to use this lifesaving device. St. Juliana has AEDs installed in the church, school, and parish offices in case of emergency. You will be surprised to see how easy they are to use.
Class A uniforms for all Scouts and Leaders.
- Order of the Arrow Haunted Hike – Friday, October 20
The OA’s annual Haunted Hike is coming up. The cost of the Hike is $10.00 per person and payment is due by Friday, October 13 (spooky!) at 6:00 pm. You can bring your payment to the October 9 Troop meeting or drop it in the mailbox (open slowly - full of spiders!) at my haunted house (6640 N Odell) by next Friday. Good luck getting past the monster vine growing on my porch! The permission slip will go on the website next week and I will have some blanks available at the Hike.
- October Camping Weekend – October 27-29 – Rock Cut State Park
We are scheduled to camp on the weekend of October 27-29 at Rock Cut. I am curious how many Scouts will be busy with Halloween activities that weekend, so I sent out a survey to all the families about whether their Scout is planning to camp. Thank you to everyone who responded. From what I am hearing back very few of you are planning to camp. We will decide next week about whether the camping weekend will happen.

We are confirmed for a week at Camp Blackhawk (Go!) for Sunday, July 14-20, 2024.
