- Next Meeting – Monday, May 2 – 7:00-9:00 – School Hall – EARLY START!
We will be doing some camp-style cooking and taste-testing next week. If you have a camp meal you want to demonstrate, send me an email and we will include you in the line-up of camp chefs. I need to know who is planning to cook, so we can have enough cooking gear on hand.
The meeting will start at 7:00 SHARP to give the cooks time to prepare their food.
We will also be picking out the design of the new Troop t-shirt.

- Summer Camp at Owasippe – July 17-23 - It's Time to Commit!
It’s time to decide if you are going to summer camp! Registration opens this coming weekend, and we want to get everyone signed up for their first choices of badges and activities. Camp fees go up on May 15, so it’s time to commit. Check out the Summer Camp page for all the information you need.

- A Request from Aiden about His Eagle Project – This Saturday morning!
My name is Aiden Rice, and I am a member of the Troop. I am currently working on my Eagle project which is building 6 pushcarts that will be used to store folded up dog crates for Wright Way Rescue in Morton Grove. The carts will each store up to 9 crates and will greatly benefit the shelter as there are currently carts scattered all over the shelter including an outdoor area in the back where the crates have no shelter from the elements and can be easily damaged. Your help with this project would be greatly appreciated, and anyone willing to help is welcome to come to my house (7235 W. Greenleaf) on Saturday, April 30th. We will be building the carts from 10:00 - 1:00, and lunch will be provided for any volunteers. Thank you for reading and have a good day.
- May 13-15 Camping Weekend at White Pines Forest
We are set for a camping weekend at White Pines Forest State Park in Oregon, Illinois. White Pines is a pretty park with a large stand of native white pine trees. There is interesting hiking in the woods and along the bluffs over Spring and Pine Creeks. The cost of the weekend is $40.00 per camper. The permission slip and payment are due at the May 9 Troop meeting.
